a bunch of people were crammed into Musa's one room apartment.  For the few minutes when the trick candles were billowing smoke I thought we were gonna set the whole place on fire.

The last night of the Ganesh festival!  One neighborhood over in Lingampally, a dance party in the streets with men in shirts stained with pink powder, 

crazy drums, someone playing a keyboard inside the truck hooked up to speakers,

a smaller ganesh statue on top of the truck... we had to leave because a fight broke out over our presence (a guy was trying to keep the other guys from getting too close to us when we were dancing)
